Amrit Brikshya Andolan Objective
The main objective of Amrit Brikshya Andolan is to promote tree plantation in the state. So that the citizens of the state can become aware of the environment and the environmental situation in the state will improve. Under this program, in the first phase, the Assam State Government has planted a total of 1 crore saplings across the state. Citizens of Assam state can only visit the official website and fill the registration form to participate in Amrit Briksha Andolan 2.0.
Tree Plantation to start on August 1, 2024
Under Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2.0, saplings will be sent from forest nurseries to stocking points from July 15 to July 29, 2024. Followed by another phase from July 28 to August 12, 2024, where saplings will be sent from forest nurseries or stocking points to distribution points. The beneficiaries will have to collect these plants from the distribution centers by 12 August 2024. Then Bewafai, from 1 to 15 August 2024, beneficiaries will plant saplings and upload photos of the plantation.
How much financial assistance will you get for planting trees?
Through Amrit Brikshya Andolan, free saplings will be provided to all categories of citizens and they will also be provided financial assistance for planting saplings. This amount will be increased if the plant survives. At the time of planting, citizens will be provided Rs 100 for each sapling. If the saplings survive for three years, an additional amount of Rs 200 will be given to all the beneficiaries. In this way, a total amount of Rs 300 will be provided to all the members for planting each sapling.
