Beneficiaries will be able to register any complaint related to the scheme on this toll free number started by the state government. What is Banglar Bari Yojana 2025
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had started the ‘Banglar Bari’ scheme to provide houses to the poor of the state. Under this scheme, each eligible family is provided financial assistance of ₹ 1.20 lakh to build a house. This financial assistance amount is provided directly to the beneficiary’s bank account in three installments. In which ₹ 60,000 will be provided as first installment, second installment of ₹ 40000 and third installment of ₹ 20000. However, beneficiaries in some areas of Jangalmahal and Darjeeling Hills will get ₹1.30 lakh.
In the first phase of Bangla Bari Yojana, more than 8 lakh out of 12 lakh beneficiaries have received the first installment from the state government. The remaining beneficiaries will get the first installment amount by next week. The total expenditure of the government under this scheme will be around Rs 14,773 crore and the government had prepared a list of 28 lakh eligible beneficiaries. In which the amount of 12 lakh beneficiaries will be distributed in the next few days. The remaining 16 lakh beneficiaries will be provided financial assistance to build houses by January 2026.
