Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to take necessary steps to provide free sand to the beneficiaries of this scheme. Revanth said that Hydra has been assigned the task of curbing sand smuggling in Hyderabad. He said that strict monitoring and enforcement teams would be deployed against sand smuggling. To streamline transportation, the Chief Minister stressed the need to enlist registered lorries and ensure that the sand reaches consumers within 48 hours of booking. Revanth suggested several changes in the online booking system, adding that sand booking timings would be limited to office hours.
