What is NPS Vatsalya Scheme 2025

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the NPS Vatsalya Scheme while presenting the general budget for the financial year 2024-25. The government is going to launch this scheme on 18 September 2024. Through this scheme, parents will be able to open an account for their children and save money by investing in a pension account for their future. When the child reaches the age of majority (18 years). So the account under the NPS can be converted into a regular NPS account and the contribution amount will be transferred to the NPS account when the child reaches the age of 18 years. Under this scheme, parents can invest Rs 1,000 annually in the name of the child. By which the future of children can be secured. This scheme will prove to be very effective for minor children.
