RTE Admission Maharashtra 2025-26
As per the Right to Education Act 2009 of the Maharashtra State Government, admission is available on 25% of the reserved seats. Maharashtra RTE Admission Online Application Form for 2025-26 is open on its official portal. Under RTE, the Government of India provides free education to students below 14 years of age. 15 Jan Update:- The Maharashtra School Education Department on Tuesday, January 14, has opened the window for Right to Education (RTE) admissions 2025 for 25 percent reserved seats in schools. Parents seeking admission for their children can submit applications on the official website student.maharashtra.gov.in. The last date for submission of applications for Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025 has been set as January 27, 2025.

RTE Admission Maharashtra Objective
The main objective of admission in Maharashtra is to provide access to education to all the children of Maharashtra. Private students recognized for admission from primary to class VIII under the Right to Education Act constitute 25% of the admissions. With the support of this scheme, all the students of Maharashtra will be able to get high quality education, without incurring financial debt. Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant student must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra state.
- To apply, the student’s age should be between 3 to 6 years.
- The applicant should belong to a BPL, ST, SC, or an economically poor family.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 1 lakh
- Parents can apply for only two of their children.
- The applicant can select only those schools which come under RTE and are in their location area.
- Children who have already taken admission in a school under 25 percent RTE cannot apply again.

- Applicants will be selected through lottery system.
- Apply for the nearest schools in your area for higher chances of selection.
- RTE admissions are open for a short and limited period of time, applicants are advised to apply online for admission before the last date.
- There is no application fee for Maharashtra RTE Admission.
RTE Admission Maharashtra 2025-26 Online Registration
1st Step:- First of all you have to go to the official website of Maharashtra RTE. Now the home page of the website will open in front of you.
2nd Step:- On the home page of the website, you will have to click on the Online Application option.
3rd Step:- After that, click on the New Registration Link Option. The application form will open on your screen.
4th Step:- The information asked in the form like select district and enter you first name, last name, middle name, date of birth and captcha code etc.
5th Step:- After that, the required documents will have to be scanned and uploaded.
6th Step:- After entering all the information you have to click on the submit option.
Steps to Admin/School Login Process
1st Step:- First of all, Go to the Maharashtra RTE official Website.
2nd Step:- On the homepage, click on the Admin/School login option. A login page will open.
3rd Step:- On this page, enter the User ID and Password.
4th Step:- Finally, enter your capcha code and click on the Login button.
How to Check Admission Schedule
1st Step:- First of all, go to the official website https://student.maharashtra.gov.in/
2nd Step:- On the homepage, you have to click on the Admission Schedule option. A new page will open.
3rd Step:- On this page, select your Academic Year, Application round, and Selection List.
4th Step:- After that the information about admission schedule will open on your screen.
How to Check RTE 2025-2026 Status
1st Step:- First of all, go to the official website https://student.maharashtra.gov.in/
2nd Step:- On the homepage, you have to click on the RTE 2025-2026 Status option.
3rd Step:- The RTE 25% Status Report for Academic Year 2025-2026 will appear on your screen.
How to Download a Self-Declaration
1st Step:- To begin, go to the Maharashtra RTE admissions official website. The home page will appear in front of you.
2nd Step:- The self-declaration tab is required to be clicked on the homepage.
3rd Step:- Now you must select “download self-declaration”.
4th Step:- When you click on this link, a PDF version of the self-declaration will appear in front of you.
