The Tamil Nadu state government has launched the Tamil Nadu Skill Voucher Scheme for students pursuing higher education in the state. Under this scheme the state government will provide cash vouchers to the students which can be used to get skill development training in the state. The benefit of this scheme will be given to the final year students of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities of the state. Tamil Nadu Skill Voucher Scheme 2025

The Department of Adi Dravid and Tribal Welfare has launched Tamil Nadu Skill Voucher Scheme for the final year students of SC and ST communities pursuing higher education. Through this scheme, skill vouchers worth Rs 12,000, 15,000 and Rs 25,000 will be provided to all selected students according to their education. Which will help students to find a job or start their own business. Vouchers can be used at recognized training institutes like Naan Mudhalvan, National Skill Development Corporation and others. To avail the benefits of this scheme, the student must have at least 60% marks in the semester examinations.

Tamil Nadu Skill Voucher Scheme Objective

The main objective of launching this scheme is to empower the youth with valuable skills to increase their employability. Through this scheme, vouchers will be provided in the form of financial assistance to final year students of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities pursuing higher education. Students can avail the vouchers at training institutes listed on platforms like Naan Mudhalvan website, National Skill Development Corporation, Skill India Digital Hub, National Council for Training Academy, Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation and Tamil Nadu Adi Dravida Housing and Development Corporation Limited.

How many rupees worth voucher was being given by the department earlier?

Earlier, the department was providing prize money ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 for 1,000 SC and ST students scoring 60% or more marks in UG, PG and technical education courses.

Features of TN Skill Voucher Scheme

Eligibility Criteria
