NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme 2025

Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has announced the launch of NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme to provide health services to below poverty line (BPL) families. Under this scheme, free treatment ranging from Rs 2.5 to Rs 25 lakh will be provided to poor families. The government will benefit from this scheme to 4.3 crore people of 1.43 crore houses in the state. Under the hybrid model, insurance, the central government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme and the state NTR Vaidya Seva will be integrated to provide quality health services to the poor. The scheme is a unique PPP model in the field of health insurance, tailored to suit the health needs of poor patients.

The main objective of NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme is to provide free quality hospital care and equity of access to BPL families by purchasing quality medical services from an identified network of health care providers. Universal coverage of health will be provided for both urban and rural poor of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The scheme is a unique PPP model in the field of health insurance, tailored to the health needs of poor patients and providing end-to-end care for identified diseases under secondary and tertiary care through a network of government and private service providers.
