Assam Nijut Moina Scheme 2024
Assam State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched the Assam Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme to change the negative thinking towards the girl child of the state. Through this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month will be provided to girls studying in classes 11th and 12th, Rs 1,250 per month to girls doing graduation, and Rs 2,500 to girls doing post-graduation. This financial assistance amount will be transferred to the direct bank account of the girls. For this scheme, Rs 1,500 crore will be spent on incentives for about 10 lakh women in the next five years.
This scheme will also ban child marriage in the state and eliminate discrimination against girl children.
